This is a great blog about Nice Guy Misogyny. I love this because it’s not two concepts one would usually combine, but it really describes the issues men often face while trying to be the nice guy. Nice guy syndrome (also nice girl syndrome) is where you take on the persona of ‘nice’ in order to fit in and be liked. Whether it is consciously or unconsciously done, it is not authentic.

Misogyny is usually thought of and defined as the hatred, dislike and mistrust of women and girls. Ken adds to that the aspect of not seeing women as people and treating them as more of an object of conquest or puzzle to solve than as a person who has ideas, emotions, complexity and is a potential friend.
